Getting more recruits means more business especially when it comes to network marketing. This is first done with the help of family and friends that will eventually be able to assist one in this endeavor.

When this is saturated, one will need some other means of recruiting and this could be done through leads. Information is the name of the game in any industry. Whoever has this will be able to be one step ahead of the competition given that there are also a lot of companies involved in network marketing.

Some people have to pay for leads to get more clientele. Some of these can be found in the internet who have served a number of clients. Companies like these offer leads for debts, mortgage, surveys, interviews and investments to name a few.

The individual can then monitor the number of successful sales made and improve on anything where there seems to be problems in to ensure that the person or the group is on the right track. It is advisable for the company to get a computerized software program to keep track of everything.

There is a saying that goes it takes money to be able to make more money. This quote is very true but one should invest it wisely and not just throw it around and hope something good comes out of it.

There are many possible ways in improving the individual or the companyís sales performance and surely paying someone to offer leads is not the answer.

Network marketing is an opportunity offered to anyone who wants to make it big. It is up to the person whether to act fast or have other people in the same business take that away by getting to those customers first.

Figures from the Direct Selling Association show that revenue for direct sellers rose by 7.1% every year in 1993-2003, significantly higher than economic growth. The trend reflects how multi-level or network marketing has become a surging business platform over the last few years.

Among the top direct selling companies are Avon, Nu Skin, Amway, Mary Kay and Herbalife. Data from the U.S. Census Bureau show that 2003 sales by such companies surpassed $29 billion, or nearly 1% of more than $3,397 billion in overall retail sales for the country.

One key factor that makes sales and marketing professionals successful is a focus on functional relationships to sell the product or service. This approach reflects recognition of network marketing as a relationship-based business, according to Networking Times founding editor John Milton Fogg. At the very least, such functional ties cannot be replaced by a combination of a superior relationship and a poor product.

A study shows that network marketers who initially had poor ties to dense networks eventually surged as entrepreneurs, according to 'Social Capital in the Creation of Financial Capital: The Case of Network Marketing' author Shaul Gabbay. The finding indicated success by individuals who first ventured in a relatively new market and later built their share in that market.

MLM businesses are also nearly exclusively dependent on their own communities for recruiting, sales and support and follow-ups. This low-cost approach to build a community focused on the product is practiced by a good number of software makers, who turn to their own customers for customer support and tap offshore groups for software development.

Successful marketers also benefit from tapping downlines from the market segment or community they are targeting. Such sales personnel would be quite effective selling to and building relationships with their customers/peers, with whom they share mutual interests.

Network marketers should also not assume that all people they meet would make good prospects - or the so-called "three-foot rule', that is, anyone within that proximity is a prospect. Longevity also plays a role in MLM success. An upstart with a hot product or service may initially have strong demand, but a stable company in business for at least five years is often more stable and offers continuous opportunity for growth.

Such companies are also usually backed by more than enough capital to sustain growth, ensure stability, update technology and seek talent. In the case of commission payments, publicly traded companies are preferred due to SEC and other government regulations requiring regular financial disclosures - a condition not possible with private companies.

One can also expect a successful network marketer to offer a service or product that is not easily available from competitors and in other markets. This uniqueness also guarantees consistent sales for the MLM. Such products or services should also answer an actual need and at fair terms, as consumers will always look for top value when making any purchase.

A successful marketer will generate continuous income only if the company's offering generates long-term demand - the product or service must be something that a customer will use for an extended period, or ideally a lifetime, and not just be a response to a short-term trend.

One slight deviation from the long-term requirement: the product should be strong enough to generate immediate income and steady cash flow for further expansion and marketing work.

Since uplines are also responsible for nurturing the network, those who maximize technology for remaining connected with their downlines without being too restricted to pursue more opportunities will enjoy more success than those who fail to take advantage of technology.

No multi-level marketer would be successful without the commitment to similar success for his downline. This is where the difference between recruitment and sponsorship lies: the recruiter is focused only on expanding his downline for further personal gain, often leaving his subordinates to themselves. Meanwhile, the sponsor spends time and effort to teach and motivate his downline to make them successful like himself.

There are many ways of making money. One can start a business or work many years and later on gaining recognition and making it to the top spot. Some people have chosen a different path which can be achieved through multi-level marketing.

If the person is not doing that well in multi-level marketing compared to others, there is something definitely wrong. The problem is not with the product but with the person. Organizations involved in multi-level marketing invest a lot in training the right people to get the message across to potential buyers. The first thing that a person should go back to is the product. Does the individual know all the benefits and features? Maybe the person does not sound that convincing and needs to listen more to how others do it and apply the same technique. Sales are made by knowing what the customer wants to hear and maximizing the potential of the product and the market. If the individual doesnít know that, nothing will happen.

When people see a need and realize that there is a huge demand in distributing that product, one should use all the resources and connection available to make it happen. By getting the people hooked into a product and explaining how this can benefit the individual then getting others to do the same, one will soon earn a lot of money.

The more people that fall under the recruiters umbrella, the more money is made since that person is on top of the structure which allows one to get commission for merchandise or goods sold by other individuals.

It may be an unconventional get rich quick scheme, but if one has the determination to do what it takes, in time one will succeed.

Achieving success in multi-level marketing (MLM) means one thing: you have finally reached what you deserved: having a higher income. Money (or more money) is a primary consideration of those going into MLM. The idea of having a fatter paycheck than those working for an ordinary corporation entices many people to join the increasing popularity of MLM.

But, as in any other business, you have to invest resources in order for you to proceed. Of course, resources include money.

If you are just stating in MLM, here are some tips on how to get more money form your investment and achieve success.

1. If you are a newbie in MLM, you may want to keep an eye on your costs and proceed from reaping profits. This may seem easy when stating. However, making some money off other's efforts would not work. You actually have to invest some money before starting, say purchasing a starter kit for MLM beginners. After all, how would you go on telling people that your product or service is the best if you don't have the items in the business with you? If you don't have the items, how can you persuade clients that they should try it too?

2. Spending on the MLM products and services is not enough. You must need to promote it. Some people think that shelling out money is enough and just wait for people to buy items from them. Remember: you can't purchase success.

3. If you are planning really big on this MLM business, you have to look for others who could help you. In choosing your staff, you have to select teammates as if you were hiring people in a company. MLM is a business: therefore, you have to think like a business person. Of course, this means finding resources in paying them. Build and nurture a team. After all, your team members are the ones that would support you in your money-making venture. That is why you should learn what it takes to be a good team leader. And at the same time, like a team member, you have to listen on their inputs or suggestions in improving the business. All of us have various areas of expertise, skills, knowledge, and experience. Not everyone knows everything. You have to learn when is the time to be the leader, and when is the time to be a team member, regardless of the position that you have.

8. If you focus on your team, you would notice how the team works as one, cooperating with one goal: making the business better, and along with it, the people behind the business. In that way, your aspirations become similar with other team members that are efficient and motivated towards reaching that goal.

As I've gone through my career in Marketing (Advertising, DM and now Integrated Marketing), I have found that many people are suspicious of anyone who displays a flair for things both creative and technical. It's like you're not allowed to be good at both - something about different sides of the brain is the normal reaction.

While it's true that creative and technical thought requires different processes, haven't we all at some time solved a technical problem in a creative way and vice versa. Personally, I believe people who only use one side of their brain are missing out on something. I generally try to use both.

Time for New Partnerships

In this world of increasing technological dependency, creatives and technologists both need to embrace and have an appreciation of the other side. For creatives, technical understanding and partnerships are now just as important as art director - copywriter partnerships have been since the 60's. You wouldn't expect an art director who didn't understand the writing process or be able to contribute to it to be worth much. Equally, art directors now need to forge similarly close partnerships with technologists.

Because the web is predominantly a visual medium, both designers and developers must have an exceptional understanding of good design, usability and functionality. Developers now must pay more attention to design details and see them as important as making it all work. Designers need to understand the process of web development and work in partnership with developers to find the best design solutions.

The Web is Bringing Creatives and Technologists Together

The internet is still a young child - growing up and learning to make its way in the big bad world. Designers, writers and developers have been working out how to work together with mixed results. In the past all three have been guilty of just doing their own thing and have been able to get away with it. But, this is no longer the case. As web users become more savvy they're quick to weed out poorly designed, written and built websites. We need to see things from a different perspective:

1. Developers need to care about the visual look and how easy it to navigate because the web is mostly a visual medium.

2. Designers need to care about the functionality because the web is interactive.

3. Writers need to care about search engines because websites need to be found and easily digested.

Also, clients now have a better understanding of what their online activity should be achieving and want to make their budgets work harder. That means all of us need a much greater appreciation of strategy and planning.

To achieve all of this requires a change of mindset. Individuals who can specialize whilst having a broad understanding of the digital marketing world are the ones who are best placed to benefit. So - by getting both sides of our brains to integrate, we can start integrating our talents, which will lead to better integrated digital marketing.
